The Youth and the Streamlet Watercolored Linocut

$40.00

Based off of a poem by famous Armenian poet and ashugh (similar to a troubadour), “The Youth and the Streamlet” illustrates a stanza from his poem by the same name, in which a youth questions a flowing river he comes upon. The stanzas speak both of the pain of a love lost and the beauty of a love not yet found, and the line I chose is my favorite of them all, where the stream becomes an allegory for the love the youth wishes to find. Each print measures 4in x 6in, with one inch surrounding margins. The text on each print is hand-stamped, and the color hand colored, so there may be slight variation from print to print, however, I do try to keep such variation to a minimum. If you’d like, you can text or email me, and I could send you a photo of the exact print I would send to you before you purchase.
